  1. Hey,

I saw your posts on mbclub about reviewing a mercedes and decided to take a look at your website. Great work at keeping the content flowing! I’m a web developer for a company, so dont get enough time to write content myself but I do have a blog here: http://mercedes-enthusiasts.co.uk/

I’m trying to motivate myself more to write content, do you get paid for doing what you do? Also, how do you get in contact with people to lend you the car for the week?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    1. Hi Dan,

Thanks for popping by to take a look at the site.

I’ve been very lucky with regards to access to press vehicles as I already work for a newspaper which at least gets a foot in the door.

Having said that, it’s still took the best part of a year (and lots of emails, in my own time) to get all the manufacturers onboard so I can imagine it would be very difficult indeed for a blogger unless they have a substantial following.

I don’t get paid any extra for doing the car reviews – I volunteered for the job when I saw that no one else was willing to give it a go (I know! Crazy!)

Like you, I do struggle to find time to add content. The day-job gets in the way but it also pays the bills!

Video is the way to go, I think, but I still struggle to see and hear myself on screen! I will be giving it a go though . . .
